Sounds as if Eastenders is just copying Coronation Street. CS already has a restaurant/bistro/wine bar (you can buy wine at the pub, too), and a hair salon. It also has the corner shop and the newsagents, the gym, the cafe and Bessie Street School. I prefer Coronation Street and haven't watched Eastenders for about 20 years now.

I'm sure burglary, incest, murder, drug taking, bombs, fights, fires, child-snatching, cheating, rape, assaults, adultery, fraud and sudden unexpected births/deaths happen all the time in the real world, it's just that I just don't feel the need to watch them all in one episode!

Makes you wonder what would have happened if Eldorado had not gone down into the obscurity which it deserved.

I think its because they worked out that Walford is located around Shoreditch Borders do very hipster now.

It's only recently that I've realised what a terrible actress Leticia Dean is. This escaped me in the 80s

I know it's blasphemy, but I think Barbara Windsor was a terrible actress as Peggy Mitchell. I think Samantha Womack (Ronny) is probably the worst actress in the soap.

Some of the cast are very very good though, Lacey Turner (Stacey) and Jay, not sure his name in RL, are brilliant.

Funny, I haven't watched EE since the early 90's but it was on last night and I didn't turn it off. Sharon was whimpering in a darkened room and there was Ian Beale looking podgy. They were all I recognised.

I loved Eldorado. I even bought the theme song on 7 inch.

yes sharons still dragged out on a regular basis,her face has filled out alot and i think her story lines are carp:
