AIBU to ask makers of sun tan cream to be honest

and actually tell us that it WILL stain your clothes not that it MAY.
I am so fed up with trying to find decent and reasonably priced sun tan cream that doesn't turn my DS's clothes yellow. Surely it's a minimum requirement to manufacture a cream that works with clothes on. Hmmmph.

The SPF rating is mostly made up as well. Lying scum.

howtobenice · 24/06/2014 20:57

Have you found any that don't stain? I really need non staining high factor for me but just can't find any.

I agree they lie! SPF 30 is about 1% different from SPF 50. And they last at least 4 years, replacing every year is not necessary. I haven't had the staining clothes problem though? Nivea and Garnier are normally good and we have never had stains?

StandardHeight · 24/06/2014 21:02

I have howto but the darn expensive and not a high enough factor for DS. Also they make you cry as you apply them due to the chemical evaporation as you put it on. Hmmmph.
If you're interested the one I use is called Calypso and it claims it only needs one application a day, which we all know is total crap.

I use one made by Jason. Doesn't stain.

StandardHeight · 24/06/2014 21:03

How much is it Frusso? and does it have the nasty stuff in it.

Haven't used the Jason one in the last few years. Is it still quite pricey Pickled? Considering trying again.
Is that true Disco, do they last 4 years. I always use them for at least 2.

I use the green people one and it's never stained any clothes.
It's pricey, but I've also never burnt when using it.

MrsRogerSterling · 24/06/2014 21:20

I use Ultrasun and it has never stained my clothes, you also only need to apply once a day so an added bonus. I use Kid's Soltan Dry Touch on the dd's and again not had any staining on clothes.

MrsRogerSterling · 24/06/2014 21:23

Should add the Ultrasun does work applying once a day. I am very fair skinned and suffer with heat rashes and have never burnt whilst using it.

InfoNeededPlease · 24/06/2014 21:52

Ultrasun doesn't stain and really is once a day. Brilliant stuff. Wouldn't buy anything else since discovering it. Big family pump bottle worth every penny.
