Perhaps I am...but where are they now?

Come hither lamented playmates and fill my heart with joy and laughter.

I actually wrote that song but it was nicked off me.

Fuckers.

Stratters!

PoonAnnie · 21/06/2014 01:27

Well I posted last night and not one of you atrocious cunts even acknowledged it!

I was AnnieOnAMapleLeaf and have been registered since 2007. I recognize 99% of the names here and am over the moon to see so many of them.

Now where is Shiny? Bof?

Valpollicella · 21/06/2014 01:47

Annie Grin howareya?

Bof is in here somewhere. Dinno about Shiny but shes still pn the FazzBook

PoonAnnie · 21/06/2014 01:57

Hi Val!! I'm good - how are you?

I saw BOF upthread - I thought maybe she could entice shiny. I have shiny on FB but it would be nice to see her posting here. I wonder if she would make an appearance if we dangled penguins and plumbers?

Boobz · 21/06/2014 07:00

Have just worked out I have been here 8 years next month and never name changed! But unless you have an affinity to reading threads about homebirths then you're unlikely to know me I think.

RustyBear · 21/06/2014 07:09

If you're still around Stratters NormaStanleyFletcher needs corvid advice

PrettyCandles · 21/06/2014 07:54

Somehow you seem to me like the real MNers, as if all the later joiners are imposters!

Back in the Old Days, when it was all fields, threads rarely went unanswered. There was always somebody who could answer your query, or point you towards a resource, or commiserate or have a chuckle with you. Now, unless you time it right or are desperately interesting...

ginslinger · 21/06/2014 07:59

Yes and there was less nastiness and picking of holes in OPs.

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 21/06/2014 08:15

Hello . 2009 and not much name changing.
Fanjo, love your username - I think the bosom-hoikers should be thankful they weren't around for the cuntworms. They might have had conniptions.
< tickles Brian's other leg>

MarmaladeShatkins · 21/06/2014 08:35

At least I never posted a picture of the cuntworms. That low has been reached on the bumworms thread.not sure if I'm horrified or envious...

Mytholmroyd · 21/06/2014 08:41

Sense and sanity! I've found you all again - well most of you. Shall lurk on your thread now. Ridiculously excited to see Hullygully and you all. Sighs. All's right with the world. [Smile]

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 21/06/2014 08:42

I think I'm going to stay off the bum worms thread.

MarmaladeShatkins · 21/06/2014 08:43

Grim even by my shoddy standards.

SixImpossible · 21/06/2014 09:21

Oh, I don't think there was less nastiness. There was quite a lot of eye-watering bitchiness, but it was far more straightforward (and sweaty) yet somehow less judgemental.

But explain to me, please, what is this about Twitter and Facebook? Are there parallel Mumsnet universes, like when the For Sale boards were populated by Huns?

SixImpossible · 21/06/2014 09:22

Fuck. I forgot to

SixImpossible · 21/06/2014 09:23

Oh I give up,

BIWI · 21/06/2014 09:30

I think there are some very rose-tinted spectacles being worn on this thread! Grin

Don't you remember the whole 6th form school girl stuff? All the cries to people to 'MSN', where they not only carried on the conversation privately but made it only too obvious to the rest of us that we weren't the chosen few?

And there were some very unpleasant posts and posters. But I think the difference was that we were able to deal with it on the thread (or ignore it), and we certainly didn't have the deliberately obtuse (or the obviously stupid) that seems to populate the boards these days.

SixImpossible · 21/06/2014 09:37

My specs aren't so rose-tinted that I remember MN as a sweaty place Grin. It was definitely a rose-tint-removingly sweary place.

But Miss Prim here did not swear. In those days. Name changing is quite liberating.

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 09:39

I arrived just after mouldies. There was lots of hobbling and grief counselling going on.

But actually from what I gather I'm glad I did.

BIWI · 21/06/2014 09:40

Grin at sweaty!

HoneyDragon · 21/06/2014 11:42

Ooooh there's a birthday girl on this thread today Thanks hope the filthy old scrubbers enjoying it Wink

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 21/06/2014 12:21

Same here Honey

Hope you're up to your neck in gin you old sot and yes, we do expect a drunken rant at some point this weekend Wine

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 12:23

ooh whose birthday????

ginslinger · 21/06/2014 12:44

I shall continue to wear my rose-tinted specs with pride

RustyBear · 21/06/2014 12:52

Oh, I know twin (possibly ex-)mumsnetters with a birthday today, but if either is on this thread, then they have namechanged...
