Perhaps I am...but where are they now?

Come hither lamented playmates and fill my heart with joy and laughter.

I actually wrote that song but it was nicked off me.

Fuckers.

v wise

I think I might start a pop in regular like, for an hour, say, lunchtime?

NOTHing contentious happens at lunchtime, shoooooorely

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 09:54

They're normally great, mistlethrush, just like your experience. I can only assume that they were discombobulated by the utter shitness of the England team's performance last night.

Funking football.

SpringHeeledJack · 20/06/2014 09:55

oh god have killed an oldies thread

I am one, I swear

2008, I think?

what I think of as the Bof and Shiney Epoch

come back, everyone, I'm off because packing

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 09:56

Oh, Jack Sad. Commiserations, that sounds like torture.

SpringHeeledJack · 20/06/2014 09:59

sorry Smegs x post-

was it a Tooth Smash?

those are quite horrid

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 09:59

Although I did go to Alton Towers a couple of years ago and had a really good time. Not with kids though, t'was a corporate day. Because nothing says 'team bonding' like throwing up on a roller coaster and your manager behind you getting it in the face.

That wasn't me. But I do know who it was and they will NEVER live it down Grin

mistlethrush · 20/06/2014 10:00

DH went there on his stag do - threw up in the bin outside McDonalds. Apparently that was the highlight of the day!

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 10:02

Yus. Not too bad though, her teeth are a little jagged at the bottom now but could've been worse.

I veer between 'oh, she's ok, it was an accident' and 'I am the worst mother EVER'. And sobbing. But t'will be fine. Emergency dentist soon, not that they can do anything.

mistlethrush · 20/06/2014 10:03

But they're her baby teeth?

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 10:05

Yes, but they want to check for wobbliness. Also I'm still bfing her morning and evening and it's painful as anything. So they said they might be able to make her more comfortable if it's uncomfortable for her as well as me.

oh my GOD am ill prepared for vomiting

how did she do it, Smegs? My dd tripped over a tent in Decathlon at 6. I have never heard a scream like it before or since. Ghastly.

As for the Worst Mother Ever, I had follow up calls from HV because we were home ed at the time

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 10:11

Got her feet tangled in a towel when she was scrambling to get up in the bathroom. I should have been quicker, she's a little accident-prone as she has glue ear and it affects her balance Sad.

She fell all of 6 inches but her teeth took the brunt of it, and we have stone tiles.

Is your DD ok now, Jack? Were they milk teeth too?

Hullygully · 20/06/2014 10:22

Oh poor little smegs, the tooth fairy will have to be exceptionally generous.

How doth the babby, Springy?

OldVikingDudeHidMyTubeSocks · 20/06/2014 10:37

oooh I like threads like this.

I also joined on the tail end of the Christmas that wasn't.

I rarely post nowadays, i'll read threads and just can't bring myself to actually physically reply. I'll mutter out loud instead...

Pagwatch · 20/06/2014 10:42

Poor little smeglet. A&E and England football sounds like a potential disaster. I hate hospitals.

Hey Springy

My biggest baby was 21 yesterday. I don't know how that is actually possible. I spent the day drinking and being baffled.

Hullygully · 20/06/2014 10:46

Mine is about to take his driving rest, I've told him that even if he passes he isn't allowed to drive alone for a year. Is that U?

OP posts:
Hullygully · 20/06/2014 10:46

test

wish it was rest

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 20/06/2014 10:48

No not U. Although I drove myself to my music lesson on the day I passed my test because no one else could take me!

Pagwatch · 20/06/2014 10:50

No. Not unreasonable.
Or you can say 'yes darling - you can drive my car if you pay the insurance'
Bwahahahaha

SpringHeeledJack · 20/06/2014 11:02

OH, def not U

my babby is 16. I still have to 'SPRINGY WAAAATCH THIIIIIS' and remove spiders from bathroom

I,m not doing very well at this am I Grin

Smeggy we had a few xrays and monitoring trips to dental hosp- her milk teeth either side of the adult front teeth went, but the front two were miraculously ok. Don't ask me how

Good luck to you and Smeglet, you poor loves...at least she won't remember it while you'll be scarred for life

personally don't think you should be ALLOWED teeth till you're 10

Poledra · 20/06/2014 12:01

Smegs smallest DD at 18 months old met the coffee table coming the other way with her front teeth (I told 'em to stop jumping on the sofa) and managed to craze all the enamel on her front teeth and trap the inside of her lip between them. Dear god, the blood! Anyway, all was well, teeth held out fine till last year when, at the grand old age of 5, they both fell out in one day. Hope all goes as well for Toddlysmegs.

misdee · 20/06/2014 12:03

Hello.

ginslinger · 20/06/2014 12:31

some of my favourite spoof threads that you'd hope even the thickoes would get:

my child touched a poor person
banning the elderly from a wedding
the hamster stew
pomander gate

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 12:34

Shock at all the teeth-related dramas. Feeling quite lucky now. Thanks

Pag you are never the mother of a 21yo. You are far too young.

Hully if he passes I'd enter him for Barely Legal Drivers on BBC3. Public service broadcasting at its finest.

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2014 12:36

I liked Hully's spoons. I didn't even get to post on it before the PO made it go bad [mardyface]
