I was wendied last year.

I thought my Wendy was a good friend until I realised she was actually treating me like a member of her staff.

I quietly faded from her view. Not easy as we had a few mutual friends.

One of my dearest friends then dropped me and became as thick as thieves with my Wendy. She delights in demonstrating how close they are. I was really upset but all over it now. Neither were clearly good friends. Well rid etc.

On two closed groups on FB, someone I don't know has posted a picture of Wendy's car - distinctive car with personalised number plate - trying to shame her for parking in a disabled space without a badge.

The story is that the person who took the picture challenged Wendy over her parking in the disabled space and was told by Wendy that her car is too big to park elsewhere and it's none of the person's business where she parks.

Wendy wouldn't care if a quadriplegic needed the space and she certainly wouldn't be bothered by someone challenging her over this.

Lots of people in these closed groups are reposting the photo onto various other groups to "shame" this person.

Now I am doing / saying nothing but I do have a little spark of schadenfreude at this.

Aibu?

Depending on how much you hate her, you should give her name and where she works. Grin

IWillYeah · 15/06/2014 16:06

No such thing as karma, but schadenfreude feels SO damn good! Enjoy Grin

annielewis · 15/06/2014 16:09

I saw that post too! Gloat away sweetheart. She clearly is an utter wombat and deserves it!!

Pagwatch · 15/06/2014 16:16

I think you are allowed a private smile. Or fist pump. Or Bwahahahaha.

winkywinkola · 15/06/2014 16:18

Oh I don't hate her at all. Just prefer to completely avoid her.

Yanbu your Wendy sounds like a nasty piece of work, your well rid, share away, can we have the link so we can share too. The more the merrier Grin

Aeroflotgirl · 15/06/2014 16:21

It's not cyber bullying, it sugaring a picture of this Wendy parking illegally.

winkywinkola · 15/06/2014 16:22

Well the link has gone now. Her personalised number plate was on the picture so think it wasn't allowed to stay up.

I think she might not do that again.

What the hell is a Wendy?

NynaevesSister · 15/06/2014 16:31

*Plus she was harangued in the shop by the person who asked her why she was parking in a disable space. I don't think that's right either.

The poster made his point to her and should have left it at that, not followed her round the shop, telling other shoppers and the shop manager what she had done.*

Actually in this instance yes he should. This is one type if incident that I think deserves shaming.

winkywinkola · 15/06/2014 16:33

Having an angry man chase you round a shop is scary and intimidating, I think.

OP posts:
YouTheCat · 15/06/2014 16:36

But she could have avoided it all by not parking in a disabled bay and behaving like a selfish cow. Her own fault really.

Staywithme · 15/06/2014 16:38

OP He can't have been that scary or she'd have moved the car. I think I would reserve my sympathy for the person who was entitled to park in a blue badge spot but couldn't because a lazy, selfish person had used it. Please gloat away. Grin

Aeroflotgirl · 15/06/2014 16:39

I don't think she should have been her ranged round a shop, too right been told that she would not be parking in a disabled space as she is a blue badge holder. She has to be pulled up on that!

Tinkerball · 15/06/2014 17:06

Tryharder And as reporting it to the police. Really?

Its against the law - so why not! I'm guessing you're not disabled and been prevented from parking because of someone selfish like this, who thinks they can park where they like.

bellarations · 15/06/2014 18:02

Sorry to hi-hack your thread, but is Wendied???

bellarations · 15/06/2014 18:02

I meant what does wendied mean exactly?

WorraLiberty · 15/06/2014 18:09

Wendy explanation here

It's a daft phrase and not very well known at all

All it ever leads to, is people asking what it means and not really getting any explanation.

Far better for an OP to simply explain their situation instead of referring to 'Wendy'.
