Can you tell me which school you prefer between south hampstead school and francis holland, baker st for someone going in at 11?
Any hints re the general personality type of the girls, the educational standard, the amount of pressure the kids are put under at either schools would be fab. xx

Pop onto the Education board, lovely. They'll be more than happy to advise - and they'll know what you're talking about.

I went to South Hampstead and had friends at Francis Holland. South Hampstead is a much more academically focused school with a much higher proportion of high achieving girls. I really enjoyed it and found the teachers in general excellent both in terms of their teaching and their genuine care for the welfare of their students. There is some pressure on the girls to perform academically but I didn't find it particularly bad. I believe the school is moving back into the original site at the beginning of coming school year so the previous negatives about old facilities and the crumbling buildings should be largely resolved.
