I luffs my job, but I do wish it would start around 11am. I'm furious that I have to get up too early it's really not that early

ArmyDad · 08/06/2014 22:28

Just pulled a 12 day week

Bluecarrot · 08/06/2014 22:30

Yup. And I'm a sahm! I had hoped to do a few specific things this weekend but since dd1 is being a defiant wee imp and DP spent a lot of time huffing we actually haven't left the house as a family ( I escaped briefly)

brandyandsummergloves · 08/06/2014 22:30

Yanbu I feel just the same :(

craftynclothy · 08/06/2014 22:33

Yanbu and I love my job. I was ill at the end of last week, had to take dd2 to a party on Sat while dh stayed in for the plumber and spent today getting food shopping and having friends round for a bbq. All I really wanted to do was curl up on the sofa and watch crap tv. I feel robbed.

Billynomates71 · 08/06/2014 22:33

I did love my job, but got promoted 5 months ago, and i hate it now basically.

Loathe Mondays.

GreggsOnLegs · 08/06/2014 22:36

I've just got in from work, wish I didn't have to work weekends. :(

Billynomates71 · 08/06/2014 22:37

Craftynclothy i feel robbed too. Yesterday dh was out all day, I had to go to the bank,go to the chemist, and take ds2 to a party and clear some brambles from the hedge and collect ds2 and cook dinner and do all the washing. Today was spent sanding and sugar soaping the living room prior to painting (next weekend Sad) .

Robbed.

Move to Europe?

It's a bank holiday tomorrow in a lot of countries.

StandsOnGoldenSands · 08/06/2014 22:46

Yeah. I too got promoted a few months ago. Used to love my job, now I hate it.
How can I swing 6 months off work by tomorrow morning ?!

Caff2 · 08/06/2014 22:48

YABU, because I've lost my job and it's shit and I WISH I had work tomorrow Sad .

But not I guess, because when I was lucky enough to have work, I'd probably have felt the same.

Stripyhoglets · 08/06/2014 22:48

Found a complaint about me as I left on Friday, cried while walking home, not really looking forward to having to go in tomorrow and sort the whole mess out and if my manager doesn't back me up, I might cry again.

Billynomates71 · 08/06/2014 22:52

Sorry to hear that stripy. I too have a shitey situation to deal with tomorrow, left over from last week. Still not sure how to handle it.

Billynomates71 · 08/06/2014 22:53

Sorry you lost your job caff2 - I should and am grateful that I have a job. Hope something brilliant and awesome comes along soon x

OP posts:
starfishmummy · 08/06/2014 22:55

Me too. I have just had last week off and really don't want to go back.

Lots of changes afoot in my workplace. Have had five line managers (and several new general managers) in the last twelve months and people.are being moved around to other branches at no notice.

I used to love my job...

Billynomates71 · 08/06/2014 22:56

Standsongoldensands - glad to know I am not the only one. Why is your new job crap? My employers won't let me recruit anyone to replace my old role. So I am now essentially doing both jobs, badly.

TwllBach · 08/06/2014 22:58

Yabu for bragging about having weekends off work

phantomnamechanger · 08/06/2014 23:00

I've largely missed the weekend due to a kidney infection, started Thursday eve, bought OTC remedy for cystitis Friday am, but just got worse overnight - felt as rough as heck, could barely move, and got an emergency GP apt yesterday afternoon as was getting worse. several doses of ABs later, the pain has gone and I am feeling brighter - just in time for work, great!

nachohousekeeper · 08/06/2014 23:01

I have been dreading this weekend ending as my precious last born is off on his first school residential tomorrow Sad

And yes, boo to work too.

echt · 08/06/2014 23:03

If you hurry up you can get over to Australia, where we get Monday off for the queen's birthday. :o

mamaduckbone · 08/06/2014 23:03

Yes. I am drowning in work at the moment and would just like to stick my head in the sand and make it all go away really.
I don't hate my job but I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed just now. I've been trying to catch up since 4.30 this afternoon with a short break for dinner and putting the kids to bed. I don't feel any more on top of it really and now feel robbed of the end of my weekend too. Sad

bellybuttonfairy · 08/06/2014 23:07

I absolutely loathe work. But wait, I have 2 weeks annual leave starting tomorrow. Mwah-haahaahaa. will be crying into my cornflakes in 2 weeks time though

StandsOnGoldenSands · 08/06/2014 23:14

Hi Billy ! I had a whole self indulgent moany thread about my job. It boils down to: big promotion, absolutely no support, probably over thinking it.

I'm sure you've had a lot of well meaning suggestions but can I suggest that you stop doing the lowest value bits of your old job ? Focus on doing the most important bits of your new job, then the less important bits of your new job, then stuff from your old job only when you can fit it in. Whole pointing out than mine of that is your job anymore, vociferously.

StandsOnGoldenSands · 08/06/2014 23:16

while and most of that is not your job any more. Bloody phone and interruptions. Sorry.
