Marigolds

AIBU to expect a pair of marigolds to last longer than just one washing up session? Or am I parinoid in thinking that there must be a mad marigold saboteur wandering around Sainsburys with a pin damaging them all?
(Strange what gets to you as you get older!!!)

I just used a pair to bath the cat because he had managed to get poo on his arse... More holes than a sieve by the time he had done with them.
