OP posts:
mistlethrush · 06/06/2014 11:26

Yes.

Kewcumber · 06/06/2014 11:26

yes you are. Its her room.

LookingThroughTheFog · 06/06/2014 11:26

Is she using it at the weekends?

jellyandsoup · 06/06/2014 11:27

Yes totally! Are you giving up your bedroom?

BestestBrownies · 06/06/2014 11:27

Ordinarily yes, but she could sleep in my son's bed for two nights surely?

OP posts:
CatsCantTwerk · 06/06/2014 11:27

Why don't you give up YOUR room for your visitors?

ShatnersBassoon · 06/06/2014 11:28

Yes, unless you're making arrangements to accommodate her elsewhere and she's happy with that.

Kewcumber · 06/06/2014 11:29

Even if she's not using it for the weekend I would ask very politely if its OK for guests to use it. I would hate the idea that the room I lived in, my space, wasn;t really my space at all but someone elses space that they allow me to use when it suits them but not when it doesn't.

How unsettling.

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 06/06/2014 11:29

YABU. If she was not going to be using it then fair enough, but as she is YABU to ask her to give up her bed for your guests.

PrinceRogersNelson · 06/06/2014 11:29

Yabvu

justmatureenough2bdad · 06/06/2014 11:30

where will your son sleep?

Chippednailvarnish · 06/06/2014 11:30

You're a nanny, so why do you have a nanny?

Or is this one if those oh so clever reverses?

LastMinuteLil · 06/06/2014 11:30

Bloody hell, yes. YAB totally U.

littlepeas · 06/06/2014 11:30

I think that's very unreasonable.

Youdontneedacriminallawyer · 06/06/2014 11:32

It's her room. The provision of it is part of the reward package you are paying her.

You could ask, very politely, if she would mind allowing visitors to use it, but she's perfectly entitled to say no.

As someone else suggested, why don't you offer visitors your own bed?

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 06/06/2014 11:32

Reverse?

Sirzy · 06/06/2014 11:33

yabvu

BestestBrownies · 06/06/2014 11:33

Yes it's a reverse and I'm the Nanny. When I refused this request, my employers made out that I was being really unreasonable. I started to doubt myself, hence posting

OP posts:
littlegreengloworm · 06/06/2014 11:33

Ridiculous

aderynlas · 06/06/2014 11:34

You need to give your guests your room op. You can sleep in your sons bed for two nights.

whois · 06/06/2014 11:34

Fucking hell yes it's unreasonable!

If nanny was going away and you were ok VERY good terms and she was the kind of person who wouldn't mind, then maybe ok. Otherwise totally not cool. Especially thinking she could bunk in with your son. Redic.

You should go sleep on the sofa if you are short of beds, or on a blow up in your sons room.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/06/2014 11:34

YABVVU. Give up your own room for your visitors - you can sleep in with your DC as you are expecting her to!

Chippednailvarnish · 06/06/2014 11:34

I'm really bored with reverse threads.

Why not just post the issue and then you might also get some helpful advice?

whois · 06/06/2014 11:34

Oh it's a reverse. Reverses are LAME AS FUCK. why did you feel the need to post a reverse?

Mordirig · 06/06/2014 11:36

Hey, how about you just build a shed in the garden for her to sleep in,, or maybe you could relocate her room to under the stairs in true Harry Potter style.

Or, here's a crazy idea, give up your room!

ffs.
