Sorry sorry sorry for posting an AIBU when it's not exactly one but I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who posted on my thread a while back about going on holidays on my own with my nearly 3 year old!

You all really put my mind at ease and I was honestly that close to giving the holiday away to my dad and his girlfriend. We just arrived back today and had such a wonderful time!! From the moment we got to the airport I met really wonderful people who I remained friends with throughout the holiday, when reading on my balcony after DD had gone to bed I had loads of people join me for a drink, chat, laugh etc. DD made so many little friends and she's really come out of her shell.

So thank you so much to everyone who posted and I urge any single parent thinking about doing it to go for it!!

So glad you came back and posted your "trip report".

Good to hear you had such a good time.

I always went on holiday as a LP with DS. Always had a great time too.

It helps to encourage other LPs to do it and show the world it, s not all 2.2 families...
even if it feels like it sometimes

Oh definitely anybody thinking of doing it please do!

We've been chatting about it all day it's so lovely to share these little memories and so many little firsts.

I'm already looking up cheapy cheapy winter breaks Grin just teasing myself really for the moment but it'll definitely be an annual thing now and we did it all really really cheaply too!
