Now I can't think about anything other than the tube that DH has in his secret stash. I had sucessfully forgotten about them otherwise they would have been eaten by now

I often joke to the kids that we're having slugs for dinner (and worms and spiders etc. etc.). I never, never thought that someone would actually had tried them.

Hugh Eat-anything-that-stays-still-long-enough Fearnley-Whittingstall has done exactly that - there is an episode of River Cottage where they try various recipes for them.

He did admit they're vile, though!
