You would let your perfectly happy toddler chat to themselves in the cot before unleashing them on the day??

Just that, heard mutterings so went to get myself tea (no work today) on return she's quiet then singing and chatting a bit then quiet again then a few little hellos then some murmurs. Am I unreasonable to drink my tea?? Once up it's fairly full on so the peaceful tea with toddler comedy commentary has great appeal but although she's sounding pretty jolly there is odd guilt that I'm not sprinting on in there!?

Do it. I regularly listen to ds chatting in his cot before I go to get him. He's quite happy, and sounds very cute! There's no reason not to. X

Ah, drink your tea! The time to go fetch her is when she stops being happy and starts calling for you. Mine gets out on his own now, but he still sits in his room and chats to himself before joining the rest of us!
