Going to Disney world in a few months and have a Frozen obsessed 3 year old.

Meeting Anna & Elsa has a 5-7 hour wait!! Unless we pay £68 to book a room in a Disney resort (we got a villa) for one night so we can get a fastpass!

I'm just about to do it... But our friend says its crazy and just don't see them.

WWYD??

Do it.

Chocotrekkie · 31/05/2014 16:11

Get there a good half hour before the park opens. Plan the route and run as soon as rope drop.

You'll be at the front of the q and won't be waiting hardly any time.

Avoid the day where the Disney guests get early admission (called extra magic hours).

Suefla62 · 31/05/2014 16:13

You can use a Fastpass even if your not staying on property. If you have your tickets you can link them and book your Fastpass 30 days ahead. Look at thedibb.co.uk (everything and more you need to know about Disney).

NoTedInTheBed · 31/05/2014 16:13

YANBU. Do it! I'd pay more than that not to have to wait 5-7 hours!

Writerwannabe83 · 31/05/2014 16:19

I would absolutely definitely do it!!!

What's an extra £70 when you've paid out thousands to go to Disney World Grin

Have a brilliant time and do whatever it takes to avoid excessive queues and waiting times!!! Smile

CeliaFate · 31/05/2014 16:21

Do it. We paid an extra £80 each for Universal Fast Passes. It made the day enjoyable instead of a day of queuing in 100 degree heat for an hour per ride.
You'll forget the money, you won't forget a 5 hour wait with bored, hot kids.

CarCiKoTab · 31/05/2014 16:30

DO IT! Your 3 year old will never forget it. Who cares this is what you go on holiday for, for a good time and to spend a fortune!

TheEnchantedForest · 31/05/2014 16:34

You have paid thousands to go to Disney but are willing to waste most of one day there queuing in order to avoid paying £68? I suppose it depends on how much you value your time. I would just factor it into the cost of the holiday tbh and pay it.

Well I wouldn't because I can't afford Disney! But if I could I wouldn't waste 7 hours in one, avoidable queue!

WeeClype · 31/05/2014 16:36

Where are you seeing it's a 5-7 hour wait? I've been to Florida quite a lot and never ever seen a wait time that long!

I'd pay the money tho.......I'm going in a fortnight and would pay to skip that crazy wait time.

Bornintheusa · 31/05/2014 16:39

Do it! If you are anything like me you will get stuck between two families that make the dingles look posh!

QuintessentiallyQS · 31/05/2014 16:42

£68 or a 5-7 hour wait to have a brief meeting with some actors in a costume? Characters that your toddler may have gone off in 3 months?

Are you mad?

HappyAgainOneDay · 31/05/2014 16:42

Oh how this thread differs from he one where the parent can't afford to go out for a day!

I think Disney places are an absolute waste of money. Include Legoland and other theme parks in that opinion, too. Apart from petrol and parking charges how much is it for a family of four to get in? My husband and I, my son and his wife with their two children went to Legoland (with our own picnic) and were astonished at the high prices. We don't live oop north, either.

Itsfab · 31/05/2014 16:43

Pay but she might not be bothered about them in a few months. Kids can be fickle Grin.

curiousgeorgie · 31/05/2014 16:53

It's 5-7 hours because of the frozen madness... There's live queue times online and also The Dibb website tells me.

The fast passes you can get at 30 days are too late... They're all gone by then.

I am just going to do it. Or £150 for all of us, not just me & DD.

QuintessentiallyQS · 31/05/2014 16:56

Thats insane. You clearly have more money than sense. You are talking about spending a fortune on the temporary fad of a 3 year old! Shock

CeliaFate · 31/05/2014 16:57

Can you afford it OP, or would it mean sacrifice? If you can then I would just do it.

He11y · 31/05/2014 17:02

I'd do it in a heartbeat! You're paying a lot to get there in the first place and your dd will love it!

halfwildlingwoman · 31/05/2014 17:03

Madness. I live in fear of my DC discovering the existence of Disneyland.

wrapsuperstar · 31/05/2014 17:09

Very glad that my 2 year old has not the foggiest idea of what anything Disney is. Wouldn't be our chosen place for a holiday...

BUT, if you are already dropping ££££s on the experience, I think an extra hundred-ish is not the end of the world to help the day run more smoothly and be less stressful for you and the little one. Go for it!

diddl · 31/05/2014 17:10

Absolutely no way would I do that either pay the £68 or wait 5/7hrs.

And we could afford it.

Sometimes you have to say no!

diddl · 31/05/2014 17:12

I mean it's not as if Disney could afford to employ more Annas/elsas, is it?

Oh wait...

QuintessentiallyQS · 31/05/2014 17:27

halfwildlingwoman If you dont make Disney and the characters in to a big thing and make sure they have lots of other interests, they wont really be that fussed.

curiousgeorgie · 31/05/2014 17:28

My DD has lots of other interests... She still loves Frozen.

That's ridiculous

OP posts:
QuintessentiallyQS · 31/05/2014 17:30

Grin Not as ridiculous as paying that amount for a 3 year old to see an actor in a costume.

Ubik1 · 31/05/2014 17:30

It sounds completely nuts
