Am I being unreasonable to think that blocking people on Pinterest is unkind

Someone has blocked Dd on Pinterest and I am wondering why because the pins she is repinning from other boards have themselves been taken from the boards of other users.

How

Objection · 31/05/2014 13:16

I didn't even know you could do this on pinterest. How do you k ow she's been blocked?

bevelino · 31/05/2014 13:33

When she was repinning from the board a message appeared saying that she was blocked from repinning from the boards of that particular user. It seems an over the top step to take because most of the images on the Pinterest boards have just been collated from the boards of others. I am always chuffed to bits if someone repins or likes one of my boards.

Maybe your DD was getting more repins than the blocker so she had a flounce about it? People are odd, don't worry about it.

rhubarbcrumbleplease · 31/05/2014 15:02

That's odd. I thought that was the whole point of Pinterest. Most of my pins have come from other people's boards.

Nomama · 31/05/2014 15:04

I can't find a way to block anyone who has pinned one of mine... still looking, I'll be back...

Who knew that existed?

I suppose the Pinner just felt pissy that day. Pissy Pinner - we made need a new icon Smile

Selks · 31/05/2014 15:10

Weird. Maybe that 'pinner' wanted a 'special and unique' board.

Or maybe they were just noodling to see what the little flag did.... I may have just blocked a total stranger doing just that Shock

Which you can do by Following a board anyway.

I suspect it was just a nosy button push.

AnneTwacky · 31/05/2014 15:28

I would think that your Dd is probably not the only one that pinner has blocked, if she doesn't know her outside of Pintrest.
Best thing to do is forget it and move on.

AltogetherAndrews · 31/05/2014 15:29

I have blocked someone once, but it was a family member that we had gone no contact with, who then turned up rummaging my Pinterest.

Seems a bit odd to do it to a stranger.

greencatseyes · 31/05/2014 16:21

If you really want to rejoin something you should be able to clilc the links to the original source and the pin a fresh pin? Otherwise that person would have bagsies on linking to something nothing to do with them....

greencatseyes · 31/05/2014 16:22

Repin not rejoin...
