To think that men taking the piss out of PMT is not fucking funny?

I have the rage. Dh thinks it's hilarious, which isn't helping. Do all men think this is funny? I feel like battering him with a shoe.

yup. My husband gives me what looks suspiciously like a MN head tilt and asks me if I am hormonal whenever I lose my temper. Which wouldn't be as bad if I wasn't getting my hair off about such things as him stacking pots so tightly that you practically have to take the cupboard apart to get them out, or him giving me the same 'advice' 15 times in an hour, or him walking into the room and saying YYYYYYYellow, instead of hello.

Now I'm mad too. Thanks. Grin

Objection · 31/05/2014 13:20

My OH doesn't think it's funny.

He doesn't think it's real either so...

Mrsantithetic · 31/05/2014 13:23

Pre pregnancy I doubt he found it hilarious. More tiring and inappropriate Grin

Apparently he likes me being pregnant because I'm nice for 9 months

DH learned this lesson a long time ago. He now spends 4 days a month in the garage finding jobs to do. we are both much happier Grin

Mrsjayy · 31/05/2014 13:28

My dh doesn't think its funny he knows there is a possibility I would cry but he doesnt understand it fully he is sympathetic but doesn't get it iyswim,

Mrsjayy · 31/05/2014 13:29

3 females in the house poor man is confused most of the month

Mrsjayy · 31/05/2014 13:33

Google the symptoms and show him

StrawberryCheese · 31/05/2014 13:43

My DH doesn't think it's funny, he thinks it is terrifying, and rightly so although it doesn't seem to be as bad as it used to be.

Shop · 31/05/2014 13:49

Mine used to find it quite amusing until I pointed out I could stab him to death and get away with it Grin

Joysmum · 31/05/2014 14:27

My DH suffers more through PMT than I ever did. I don't blame for doing whatever he needed to to cope.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 31/05/2014 14:32

Would he find it funny if you used his favourite shirt/tie/ or whatever as a sanitary towel. I think not..

insancerre · 31/05/2014 14:34

Pre- coil I used to get really bad pmt.
I never suffered with it, though.
Can't say the same for dh.
He suffered plenty

womblesofwestminster · 31/05/2014 14:36

I hate my PMS. It makes me so volatile. :(

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 31/05/2014 14:46

Ugh not just me then. When I'm on the pill I'm not too bad but still breastfeeding so no helping hormones :(

I have horrendous PMT. You can guarantee that for 3 days, every month, I will scream shout and pack his bags and attempt to divorce him.

Seriously. At the time I feel deep inside that I am being utterly reasonable.

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 31/05/2014 15:05

My main irritation today is that he is either purposely not listening to me, or gradually going deaf. Either way he's getting on my tits.

Mrsjayy · 31/05/2014 15:09

Im lying on the couch suffering from pmt irrationallly thinking he hates me that is why he took dd out for the day im a bloody loon when I have pmt

LaurieFairyCake · 31/05/2014 15:11

Dh gets the 'caught in headlights' look - and then goes across the road for chocolate Grin

Once it was so bad he buggered off for half an hour and came back with a curry (I was yelling at a plant)

Mrsjayy · 31/05/2014 15:13

That poor defenceless plant Grin

LaurieFairyCake · 31/05/2014 15:15

I was telling it to fucking grow and stop being a cunt about it Grin

Mrsjayy · 31/05/2014 15:19

Oh jings Grin oh I swore at a cactus yesterday I brushed against it when I opened it I said bastard I really hate you , they belong to my dds and one of them seems to spit prickles at me I am aware they are not called prickles but my pmt fog is not letting me remember

Mrsjayy · 31/05/2014 15:20

A window obviously

PrincessBabyCat · 31/05/2014 15:22

I usually whine a bit when it comes and demand extra food a few days before. But I'm not too moody, it just hurts and I want to be left alone and not forced to talk to anyone.

DH used to tell me it wasn't a big deal, because everyone got it. Then he got really bad gas cramps (which is about the closest a man will get to menstrual cramps), and I told him it wasn't a big deal and I cramp once a month. He got zero sympathy. After that it's been all chocolates and midol. Grin They learn.
