DP is unimpressed and damp. He just shook a bottle of squash, and it coated him and the kitchen as I hadn't put the lid on properly. This also happened earlier today when he used my bio oil, and is a regular occurrence.

Personally I don't understand his need to shake everything and think he should have learned that lids are carefully balanced on most things for ease of access after the first weekâ?¦ Or monthâ?¦ Or year?!

It seems a big faff to be screwing tops on properly if we're going to be using something throughout the day, and everything works perfectly for me without having mix things enough to cover myself and the nearby wall, floor or toddler, so please confirm I am not the unreasonable one!

My DH says I do this - I say he eats yogurts in an annoying manner.

TSSDNCOP · 31/05/2014 09:25

I pick things up by the lid.

DH and I still cannot refer to the Day The Marmite Lid Came Off and the Whole Jar Hit The Tiled Floor.

Lids are now screwed on chez TSS.

Of course yabu, it's just plain lazy the thin end of the wedge. before you know it you'll be avoiding all manner of faff by not fastening your shoes, leaving your doors open, sleeping in your coat etc.

And of course, anything that can be shaken, must be shaken. Vigorously. It's very good exercise.
