Haircut in one salon, hair colour in another?

Salon A did good job of cut, bad job of colour.
Salon B did good job of colour, bad job of cut.

I'm inclined to think my hair, my money. But to go to A for cut and B for colour is a bit uncomfortable to think about. It would also cost more but that is secondary to being happy with my hair.

I guess I could explain what it was about the cut that I didn't like. But I don't have the easiest hair (LOTS of it, wavy (neither curly, nor straight), very strong with a mind of its own. Hmmm, bit like me actually)... hence having someone cut it well is rather important.

Nope, you do what you like, you pay your money, you take your choice.

Choose one salon and get a different stylist to do the cut/colour part you were unhappy with?

It's what I do.

I even go to a third salon who do my 'up do' on special occasions.

Go for it. I would do the same thing in your shoes.

Just make sure you get your colour done first.

Plenty do it. Your money, your choice
