It really is a marvellous vegetable, isn't it?

Yanbu.

TheHouseatWhoCorner · 26/05/2014 19:51

Just got some. What do you do with it?

helensburgh · 26/05/2014 19:51

What does one do with pak choi, I never have a clue

nomorequotes · 26/05/2014 19:52

lightly stirfry and eat it unceremoniously

MetellaEstMater · 26/05/2014 19:54

Yes!

AndiPandi · 26/05/2014 19:56

I love it! Drizzled with balsamic vinegar or soy sauce!

JimBobplusasprog · 26/05/2014 19:57

The white bit is pleasantly crunchy when stir fried. The green bit pleasantly green. Feels like two veg for the price of one.

If stir frying, don't forget the garlic!

Bluelining · 26/05/2014 20:16

YANBU

Chop off the base. You will have lots of stalky bits with leaves. Olive oil in wok, some garlic, add pak choi, stir fry for a few minutes, add soya sauce. Yum!

TheHouseatWhoCorner · 26/05/2014 20:18

Mmmmmmm. Sounds delicious. Might go for wee snack ...

Waltonswatcher1 · 26/05/2014 20:20

Yuck
Devils food - along with Jerusalem artichoke .

Smartiepants79 · 26/05/2014 20:20

Can't stand it myself.
Pointless waste of energy cooking and eating it in my opinion.
My DH loves it.
I just don't get it. I love nearly all other veg.

Selks · 26/05/2014 20:28

Yes it's delish. Stir fry with garlic, fresh ginger, soy and a drizzle of oyster sauce. Really good. Choi sum is similarly good, as is chinese cabbage.

Toadinthehole · 27/05/2014 01:03

Ong choi is better.

Chop up, cook in with meat prepared earlier, preferably pork.

partialderivative · 27/05/2014 01:14

Drizzled with balsamic vinegar

I'm sorry Andipandi but I will now have to hunt you down and poke you in the eye with a sharp stick.

Drizzled! Angry

wobblyweebles · 27/05/2014 01:17

Bok choi I think it's called here.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

missknows · 27/05/2014 07:45

Alternatively use it raw with cold cooked noodles, chicken and teryaki sauce as a salad. Yum yum
