AIBU to think that venetian blinds are the work of the devil?

How the fuck do you clean them? I dust them - they still look bad ... I wipe them with a damp cloth - they look even worse. No bath to soak them in as I only have a shower and I can't get the fuckers down easily. Any tips Mumsnetters?

Sorry no tips but I feel your pain, I hate blinds with a vengeance! Don't get me started on those awful vertical ones either....

They are bastards - YANBU. I bought one of those microfiber cloth blind cleaners and it was pants. I hope someone has some tips.
