A scooter on..

...the Underground Shock

Child is about 7. Mum or ineffectual au pair is occasionally grabbing it.
I think they might be Scandinavian. Hmm

Idiots

Forgettable · 20/05/2014 14:06

That is pretty stoopid fair play

Helpys · 20/05/2014 14:09

To be fair she's not whizzing around, but she definitely weight bearing/ sliding around.
I can't think of any excuse.

God that gives me the willies just thinking about it. Very stupid.

CoffeeTea103 · 20/05/2014 14:41

Stupid idiots.

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/05/2014 15:11

That would have given me the heebie jeebies.

Just for balance, though, YABU! Grin

YouTheCat · 20/05/2014 15:19

You get this all the time on the Metro but usually it's unaccompanied teens and usually the driver chucks them off. Grin

autumnsmum · 20/05/2014 15:21

That sounds ridiculous yanbu

Helpys · 23/05/2014 10:14

I went into the carriage with them. The mum was exhausted and the child was running rings around her. I suspect she just can't say no and has no energy to stand up to her.

OP

I'm assuming this woman and child didn't give permission for their photo to be taken and then shared on the Internet...

For shame.

exexpat · 23/05/2014 11:22

Gotnotime - there is no legal obligation to get permission to take pictures of people in public. They are not even identifiable as they are not facing the camera.

Helpys · 23/05/2014 11:38

I thought about that and very carefully ensured there was nothing indentifiable in the picture.
No faces, no school bags.
(For those who didn't see it, it was a picture of a child from the side, no face on a scooter at the edge of an underground platform)

Pretty distinctive bag though isn't it? If you're going to publicly judge a woman and child you don't go ahead and include a photo.

Helpys · 23/05/2014 11:48

Ok fair enough. And the pictures gone now.

CSIJanner · 23/05/2014 11:59

Missed the picture. Did it look like this? (Court style drawn picture by me eldest DD)

Grin It was not, more like this

With her face completely obscured by Mum. Who was facing away from me.
Do you think MN will do one of their deleted because the poster realises she's been a twat?
