I went into the carriage with them. The mum was exhausted and the child was running rings around her. I suspect she just can't say no and has no energy to stand up to her.

I'm assuming this woman and child didn't give permission for their photo to be taken and then shared on the Internet...

Gotnotime - there is no legal obligation to get permission to take pictures of people in public. They are not even identifiable as they are not facing the camera.

I thought about that and very carefully ensured there was nothing indentifiable in the picture.
No faces, no school bags.
(For those who didn't see it, it was a picture of a child from the side, no face on a scooter at the edge of an underground platform)

Pretty distinctive bag though isn't it? If you're going to publicly judge a woman and child you don't go ahead and include a photo.
