...to think people that post spoilers on Facebook should be slapped?!

Just had the winner of Masterchef spoiled for me by someone posting the result on Facebook just minutes after the program ended!
Weeks of telly spoiled by me sitting down an hour late to watch the final! Angry
Yes yes, I know I was thick to check Facebook at that point, but surely there's an appropriate grace period before posting the result of a show to the world?!
Or AIBU?

Yabu, if something has been shown on national tv then you have to expect that people will talk about it.

From someone waiting for the next Game of Thrones dvd, yanbu. It's a spoiler minefield out there.

I don't look anymore, I knew the winner of Badminton last weekend before it was shown on telly. Just try to resist going on there.

AgentZigzag · 16/05/2014 22:31

What you're saying is that you want to have ultimate control over Facebook and everyone who uses it.

YANBU Grin

I'm sure it's not the only thing you can change on it.

I know all about that revenant. I knew about the 9th episode of season 3 and had to keep it secret from dh so it wasn't ruined for him too! I actually think it made it worse, knowing what was coming.

Yabu. Stay away until you've seen it. I avoid twitter when I'm looking forward to something, because it's me that's behind. Can't expect the rest of the world to stop.

Been there, got the t-shirt. I now log off until I've watched shows myself.
