Is better with cheese?

DH disagrees and insists in making tortilla with only egg, onion, potato and black pepper.
I feel quite strongly that cheese improves the whole dish.

I made a tortilla yesterday after reading 5his thread, potatoes, onions, duck eggs and seasoning, it was delicious.

Cheese with eggs makes me gag

dawndonnaagain - "torta de patata"? I've lived all over Spain and never heard it called that ever.

Tortilla of course just means omellette but it is usually shorthand for "tortilla de patata" which is basically the only dish that is eaten all over Spain. All other food in Spain is regional to some extent.

Only 5 ingredients needed but they all need to be top quality - eggs, potatoes, olive oil, onion and salt. Powdery potatos and anaemic eggs ruin it. As will cheese! Luckily we get our eggs from the neighbour :)

He seasons it well and sautéed the potatoes and onions.
Everyone loves it. He's a very good cook.
I just think that it's better with cheese

I like a runny egg yolk sans cheese.
And scrambled eggs sans cheese.
I think everything else is better with cheese
