I've got a good idea.....whilst ripping up the carpet let's just cut through an old wire without checking what it's connected to....then we can pay a large sum of money to have our TELEPHONE WIRE reconnected!

Get a local sparky to do it. My dad replaced mine it's very simple and cheaper than a call out from your phone provider!

Or ask the bloke who fixes the printers in your office. They can do stuff like that. DH can.

I did that once about 10 years ago. BT came and fixed it for free. Those were the days.
