So handy, so comfortable, so versatile, so good at hiding a multitude of sins........ Sad

Or the ubiquitous Kate Moss (ie skinny jeans, ankles boots, slouchy top) look....why this woman is held up as a 'style icon' is beyond me.

noddyholder · 12/05/2014 19:32

I love her she is 40 and looks stylish

SirChenjin · 12/05/2014 21:56

But she looks like every other 'style icon' - the messy hair, skinny jeans, high heeled ankle boots, slouchy top. It's a ubiquitous look, hardly a style icon.

Summerbreezing · 12/05/2014 22:08

I think style is more about how you wear a look, than what you're wearing. Some people look fantastic in chain store clothes, others look very ordinary in expensive designer gear.

After having three children if I can get out of the door looking vaguely normal then it's a good day.

ThornOfCamorr · 12/05/2014 22:20

I am not at all sure about Kate Moss, nothing she wears would look right on me at 5' 2" I have a terrible problem with leg lengths and waists. A tunic a la hobbit style and leggings would suit me and be very comfy.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 12/05/2014 22:21

Long tunic over cropped skinnies looks Ok - Long tunic with bootcut jeans is all wrong - proportion, proportion, proportion.

God I love cardigans.

ColdTeaAgain · 12/05/2014 22:36

Shorter tunics I wear with jeans, longer ones I wear with leggings or bare legs in summer -stubble length permitting--

Care if it's fashionable or not? No.

I have a fabulous Dotty P tunic I got off eBay. It's bottle green with psychedelic owls on it. Do I look weird in it when I wear it? Probably. How much of a shit do I give? About 2 microns.

Sometimes I even wear it over flares.

ThornOfCamorr · 12/05/2014 23:38

It's great preciousbane Grin

loving this tunic - not 'cool' but who cares?www.rupalionline.com/products.aspx?code=tunic-kurtis-60267&c=02

Fishandjam · 13/05/2014 09:24

Ooh, I love it Kentish! I have a couple of kameez that I bought when I worked in Bangalore, and I think they look fine over leggings or skinnies. Maybe not "cool", but I'm happy with them.

Burmahere · 13/05/2014 11:41

Why are people (on here) so often proud of looking shit? Don't understand why you would feel that way? I'm not talking about worrying what other people think of you but odd not to take some care over your appearance? Why give up or did you always feel that way?

Love the idea of psychedelic owls!! Grin

grocklebox · 13/05/2014 11:43
Hmm Did you mean to sound so rude?
UriGeller · 13/05/2014 11:50

Can someone post a picture of a typical tunic please?

I'm wearing a variety of "frocks" over skinny jeans at the mo, I hate my pale legs, now I'm a bit Confused that they might be a bit tunicky.

burma I'm not proud of looking shit I'm ashamed of it but I look shit whatever I wear do better to be comfortable and look shit than uncomfortable and still look shit. I've always felt this way, I've had my ugliness and horribleness made clear to me from an early age so may as well accept it. I do care about being clean and not smelly though.

SirChenjin · 13/05/2014 11:57

Why are people (on here) so often proud of looking shit

Why, because it sends people like you into a spin of course. Most satisfying.
