Clearly I am because I have looked every where she has size12h feet and clarkes had one pair which are the same she has had for the last 3 years, does anyone know where I can get buckle up school shoes for a heavy footed monkey?

I thought I was doing badly with DD1. She had a new pair in January (Lelli Kelli patent leather) but she has grown out of them and needed a new pair after Easter.

At least the previous ones lasted a year.

I'm not impressed with the quality of Clark's at the moment. I also don't like the current trend for little girl shoes to be like court shoes with a strap. I prefer the more traditional supportive styles.

Startrite do go up to "H" in the Louisa I think. Anyway, no YANBU. I hate velcro too. My dds could do up buckles easily at 3, and I was in school at 3 (old gimmer) and all children had shoes with either buckles or laces, we all did them up ourselves. Velcro looks bulky and ugly to me, but DD1 has velcro straps as I couldn't find another shoe to fit her, ironic as she is the older sibling and there was more choice for dd2 who has the same shaped feet.

Like these lolalotta: www.quicksnap.ca/products.php

I see these are marketed for old people, not children, but we found them in the sports store that I bought ds's trainers from and I thought I'd give them a go. They worked really well.
