When they phone you Hmm

"Hello, I'm Anita Fluffmonkey from Puddle Ltd, can I ask if the ducks were delivered?".......

Spoken really quickly so all I hear is......

"Yellow, I'm Rosetta Puffdonkey from Gubble Ltd, can I ask if yo fucks were lucklivered?" Confused

Slow down and speak clearly please Smile

"If yo fucks were lucklivered" GrinGrin hahaha! Well, were they?!

I agree though. If I hear a word I don't recognise I have to ask for it to be spelled. I like to be able to visualise it.
In terms of companies, it's only ever happened once. I answered the phone at my BILs company and just guessed! Luckily, I guessed quite well and it turns out I only missed a letter out but BIL knew what I meant!

I always say my name and company, but always have to repeat both later on once the person has realised why I'm actually calling them. Until then, no matter how clearly I speak, all they hear is 'hello I'm a stranger, from a company you've never heard of'. They don't tune in to the actual words.

I agree with Morris - no matter how clearly you say your name and where you're calling from, people don't actually take it in until they know what you want. Even when I was one of those people, I still found it hard to focus on anything anyone said on the phone until I had decided whether I actually wanted/needed to talk to them or not.
