You know when you go to a club or a concert and the music is so loud everyone puts cotton in their ears to get through the night? And then still your ears ring the next day?
My lunchtime spinning class is like that!
I've been going with my colleagues to a gym near our office for a spinning class. I've asked them whether the music bothers them and they're all like, "No, why?"
I go to loads of other fitness classes, with just normal loud music. This is entirely different. And I make a point of being as far away from the speakers as possible, too. I've even considered putting in ear plugs for the class.
Would it be unreasonable for me to ask them to turn it down a smidge? Surely it's bothering someone else too?
