In asking for iPad help please?

There is just so much more traffic on here.
Does anyone know how to check the history of web sites visited on an iPad? And can you disable the history being kept?

Click the book icon at to top of the browser and select history. There is a clear history button at the bottom of the history list so it can be cleared at any time.

In the top right hand corner of the screen, next to the address bar is a book symbol, a cloud symbol and a plus sign. Click on the book and your history is in there. You can delete it from there or in settings.

Everytime you type in a web address, just above your keyboard it will say 'private' if you click on that, the website you view will not go into your history.

Dare I ask why?

I never knew about the private browsing Tweasels, thanks. I too want to know why OP.

Go to settings, safari, advanced, website data, there should be a whole list of websites previously visited.

Thanks all. I wanted to try and find a site I browsed a few weeks ago and couldn't remember the name of (balloon printing!) and wanted to know if DH could see, as didn't want to spoil a birthday suprise!
