Than on 'promoting and developing the Cornish language'.

I know it's peanuts in government spending terms, but surely it could be more usefully used?

YABU in my opinion. That's not a lot of money in governmental terms, and I think preserving such an important aspect of UK culture is more than worth it. It's an impressively old language, if it dies out it would be a shame.

YANBU, the Cornish language died out over 200 years ago and has only recently been re-invented/ reconstructed, based on the Welsh and Breton languages (which have both been continuously spoken). Cornwall is so poor, and has so many problems, the money could be much better spent.

This is the stuff charities should do, with modern tech a laungauge can be stored for a almost nothing.

Wales gets millions a year I think for their lang.

And in a perfect world the money should be spent.
But people are dying in this country because of lack of money.
It's not right.
