Ok so these are the culprits,

Everyone loves Raymond
Two and a Half Men
How I met your mother
Rules of Engagement

They are all different but the themes are pretty
much the same. Demanding women, guys that are players, unreasonable women, tacit acceptance of treating women like shit. Crazy women, empathy with the guys, point of view. Just sick of them, I know that they are supposed to be lighthearted and humorous but just feel that the drip drip mysogony infects the culture and makes it so much harder for women
To argue against this entitled behaviour by men as it is so normalised and if you argue against
it you are deemed to lack
A sense of humour, be demanding, neurotic etc..,

Do other people know what I'm saying or is it just me...??

I think they're only a problem if you're his room-mate.

Id have Sheldon as a friend. I wouldnt live with him though. Youve misunderstood him if you think hidps behaviour is directed at anyone, thsts the whole point, he is how he is and sees other people as rather irrelevant, they are incidental to his behavior, not targets of it.

i like big bang Theory, though i liked it better before it revolved around the women so much. i wish leonard and Howard would stand up to penny and Benadette, they're such a pair of bossy boots. And Amy is a bit pathetic, she used to be like a kind of female Sheldon when she was first in it, but now she's always moaning on about not having any friends at school, no date to the prom etc etc, she's a bit wet.

AskBasil · 02/05/2014 18:36

Yes Amy was an amusing character when she first came in, but the writers bottled out of writing a woman whose central preoccupation wasn't a man, so she's now become a bog-standard needy woman character.
