to want to spend 200 on a really nice bed set

Stayed at a hotel at the weekend and it made me realise how awful my bed sheets are. They are cheap dovet and a bog standard cover.

Seen a nice luxary dovet and cover that would come to about 200.

Dh says it is too much and not needed. I think we use it every day and old set is 6 years old.

Don't have much money, but really want this wool set with 350tc cover

I got all excited about having high tc bedlinen...til I realised how much ironing was involved! Now I have cunningly compromised to have seersucker duvet covers. Beautifully soft on the bit you lie under, no need to iron the bit you see. Love it!!!

One tip? Our bed linen is all white...I have a stash of plain white pillowcases from JL which we use for the bottom pillows. Every night I flip the pillows before bedtime I don't know WHAT DH puts in his hair but it turns linen yellow... This way our nice matching pillowcases stay, well, matching! and when DH has rolled around enough and made the bottom ones a weird colour I can easily replace them.

PS. Agree that if £200 includes feather duvet then you're doing alright!

Good grief - I'd expect the bed and the mattress too if I were spending £200 + Grin

You get a full spectrum of life on MN don't you!

I've got an amazing bedlinen collection: Kenzo, Calvin Klein, those posh French makes whose names I can't remember, all bought at TK Maxx. Pure linen is my favourite.
