To wish that the postman did NOT ring twice (and then bang some more)?

Grrr!

Postman just came to deliver a parcel. The bell (which is loud) was pressed several times in fast succession, immediately followed by several loud bangs on the front door. AIBU to find this unnecessary and rude? I can understand multiple rings/knocks if there's a delay in answering, but all at the same time??? It gave me a fright and woke my baby who was napping.

I said to the postman that I'd hsve appreciated just the one ring and he reacted like I was some po-faced complainer. Is that what I am?

YABU - do you know that the postman always rings twice?

Take the loudly crying/screaming baby to the door and ask him to hold him/her whilst you look at the very important thing he is delivering to your door.

Then tell him he is being a total twonk and should spare a thought.

Probably works best when a really full nappy is also involved!

YANBU, there is a delivery driver that does a very loud elaborate knock which drives me mad. He knocks so loudly I once mistakenly opened the door when he was knocking in a neighbours door. Angry
