To think that this chocolate is going to be the end of me?

Okay, slightly dramatic, but basically, I was only way up to bed on Wednesday night, spotted a chocolate (salted caramel almond covered on chocolate), popped it in my mouth and made my way up to bed...

Anyhow, I think a bit went down the wrong way as I spent the night trying to clear my throat (you know the feeling?)...

Thursday morning felt awful, cough, sore throat and just 'ill'. I have got worse ever since, with a really painful chest (right side only), temperature, sore throat etc - flu like I guess...

So, is this just coincidence or could I have inhaled some nut into my lung where it is making bacteria and plotting my demise?!

I am so ill that my shift worker husband has stayed at home to help with the kids - this NEVER happens!!

Thanks for any advice - sorry for the dramatics Wink

You made me giggle, but I think you'll live. Sounds like a coincidence, you were already coming down with something and that's why the chocolate irritated your already slightly swollen and tender throat.

No, but if it is, what a way to go.

salted caramel almond covered on chocolate . . . Wow!

No not dramatic; the last couple of times I've been ill it's been the day after eating chocolate. Sore throat and flu like without the sneezing...with temps etc.

Weird - very weird.

Maybe a bit of the nut got into your lung and is now growing in a nut tree?

MrsOB · 26/04/2014 12:13

OMG... I hadn't thought of a nut tree Shock Something else for me to freak out about!! Hmmmm, wonder if an X-ray would pick that up...

To be fair, the chocs are delicious, but not so delicious to cark it over!! And they cost £4 quid a pack...
