Have found a lump. It wasnt there last week. Im 80% sure. I had an injury to that general boob area just over a month ago. Dr said to wait two weeks if no chNge she will refer me. I am falling apart cant stop crying. Cant wait potentially four weeks not knowing. Cant afford private . Already on ads gor anxiety.

I agree with the drs plan, but, as you are struggling so much it may be best for you to see her again and ask for referral.

Go back and explain you are very anxious .
Ask for immediate referral under the 2 week rule ( all breast lumps should come under this) - you should be seen with in 2 weeks at a breast unit.
I had a recent lump and was petrified so I understand completely where you are coming from . I had a cat stomp on my boob and I then found the lump which turned out to be a cyst- drained painlessly.
I think I found it because it was sore and I felt around a bit more ifyswim?

YANBU, I had an injury to my breast which revealed a problem that I was unaware of. My doctor thought it was internal bruising, but I insisted on a referral. It turns out that I had a cancerous lump which was at the back of the breast near to my lung and it couldn't be felt in a normal check. This is not to say that you have any such problem, but you need to get it checked out.

Dr is going to refer me I have some diazepam now. She said she thinks there is slight improvement. This lump is on the surface not at the back

Glad you went back and they are referring you. As above, ALL breast lumps are under the two week wait target. They have to see you within two weeks of receipt of referral by GP.
They may have a one stop clinic where you will get a mammogram/ultrasound and possibly an FNA if need be on the day. If this is the case, be prepared to wait a long time (most of the day) but they may get a firm result for you to go home with.

Glad you've got the referral sorted and agree with all posts that say you will be seen within 2 weeks. It may be related to the injury. You can get something called fat necrosis where the injured fatty tissue in the breast (which there is lots of especially on the surface) hardens and forms lumps. Equally it could be that the injury had caused you to notice something else. Either way you are being checked out very soon so try not to worry now. Most lumps seen in the breast clinic are benign and even if it is not benign most early breast cancers are curable. I'm a breast surgeon.

Lem, have a look at breastcancercare.uk there is a very good forum on there and also a helpline. I am 1 year post mastectomy now & have the all clear , but I found this site & helpline invaluable.
