To let my 10 year old read Plague in the Gone series?

Yay/nay?

He had read and loved the first 3 but a friend has said the last ones in the series aren't suitable.

Kind of thinking that stopping him from reading all books in a series he loves is a big mean but not sure tbh.

Advice please.

If he hasn't been scared off by the first three (I was in my late teens when I started reading them) then I'm sure he'll be fine with the last one.

Is there anything inappropriate in them?

What do you consider to be inappropriate though? If you've let him read the first three then I assume you know how violent they are and what the storyline is?

It's pretty much more of the same, kids being violent towards each other with superpowers and no adult supervision, some cannabilism, two characters do have sex but I can't remember the details, don't think it was graphic but the girl gets pregnant.

It wasn't my cup of tea to be honest but I prefer game of thrones type fantasy to sci fi.

If you google the gone series then there are synopsises of the plot on wikipedia and the series "wiki" pages.
