...to want to get a plain navy tracksuit from anywhere

Johnthedog · 22/04/2014 11:28

...for 10-11 year old girl (no logos as stated in uniform guide).
Next one (found grown out of this morning) now has pink hood.
No luck at Asda,Tesco,M&S have 3 items in total in school sportswear no tracksuits. John Lewis have all branded school stuff. Found plain bottoms but no matching top.
Arggggghhhhhhh. An hour wasted Internet shopping for a basic navy tracksuit.
Any ideas? Losing the will...

School uniform shops?

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 22/04/2014 11:30

Do you have a school uniform shop locally? Our sell non logo sportswear or john lewis?

Zingy123 · 22/04/2014 11:36

We got slazenger ones from sports direct. They do have a cat on them but it's navy so hardly noticeable.

TheThinksYouCanThink · 22/04/2014 11:41

Sports Direct. We got DS's from there.

kimlo · 22/04/2014 11:46

h and m do them as seperates.

Johnthedog · 22/04/2014 11:50

Oh God it looks like we will have to trek into a sports direct. It is miles away, 3 floors chockablock with piles of stuff and smells of sweat and weak vomit. Full of people who look like they have never done sports in their life. I have looked at the school uniform shops and everything is branded or you can only get very shapeless 'joggers' which will fall off her.

ive just looked, online they dont do the navy but they definitely had them in store when I was looking for dd1s for school

Joggers and Hoodies in plain navy from Tesco in the school section...

stealthsquiggle · 22/04/2014 11:52

John Lewis do plain navy separates, but it's sweatshirt rather than a hoody.

We have the same requirement but get away with a slazenger track suit (from sports direct) which has tiny logos.

Nocomet · 22/04/2014 11:57

You send her in the most discreet branded you can get and eventually school give up.

We have had the same nonsense about black tracksuits and trainers.

Unbranded trainers, basically means Clarks, when we have a Nike outlet shop that sells nicer trainers for less!

Johnthedog · 22/04/2014 11:57

Thanks Kimlo - just looked online too. This is frustrating. Back to look at Tesco....
Stealth squiggle - can't find the slazenger one in sports direct online but will look generally online.

Johnthedog · 22/04/2014 12:14

Thanks 17leftfeet but you can't get clothing online and we haven't got a sainsburys near us.

I've just bought DD1 tracksuit bottoms from Next. The logo is by the waistband but is the same navy as the material so you can't really see it. We're not allowed logos either but I'm more concerned that they are a bit leggingy and school seem to prefer the ridiculous baggy thick tracksuit bottoms that I hate.

Sunshineonsea · 22/04/2014 12:21

H&M do navy seperates (zip up hoody and jogging bottoms) in the boys section, no logos on them and they last ages, I always buy DS a new one when he goes up a size, for his age it's about £12 for the set

BikeRunSki · 22/04/2014 12:26

Gap?

Johnthedog · 22/04/2014 12:58

Gap do nice bottoms but the top has a huge GAP on it.

Sunshineonsea if you have a link please show! I can't find a search button on the h and m site. All I can find is a navy tracksuit with crocodiles on it!

My son has just been bought a plain navy track suit from H&M

Johnthedog · 22/04/2014 13:38

H&M website a nightmare as no search type function. Managed to find a blue merl boys tracksuit that looks ok. May take pic to school to show them as def not navy. Then ask them for ideas!!!

I always got mine from matalan. They do navy and black.

Johnthedog · 22/04/2014 14:11

Nothing on the website for matalan :(

Would she fit in ladies size clothing now? My 12 yr old now fit a size 6 which means there is a lot more choice.

Daisypod · 22/04/2014 14:31

Something like this? www.clothingattesco.com/trousers/f+f-relaxed-jersey-joggers/invt/jf412761&bklist=icat,4,shop,catgwomens,womens-sportswear

nancy75 · 22/04/2014 14:33

Try amazon, I think I got dds there last year. From what I remember you have to get top and bottoms separately
