regarding sah or returning to work or whatever

there will always be some arsehole that wants to judge you
whatever you do

so might as well just do whatever you want

and yes its not always what you want, but just try and make the best of the situation

Amen to that! Grin

Im sure someone will be along in a minute with a different view though Wink

janey68 · 21/04/2014 13:36

Amen. With the proviso that by 'whatever you want to do' means in conjunction with your partner. I don't think either parent should ever just make a unilateral decision about something so important

Stripyhoglets · 21/04/2014 13:38

Yes, very true.

UnderthePalms · 21/04/2014 13:40

Agreed, although I'm sure someone will be along in a minute to sneer at people who do things differently to them

SantanaLopez · 21/04/2014 13:43

This!

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 21/04/2014 13:48

God yes.

I've been back at work for two weeks. Already I've been told that my DS is probably 'traumatised' from not seeing me a lot.

I hate the wohp and sahp debate, most people justify their own position by slagging off the opposite, drives me bonkers.

IME, we're all just doing the best we can to bring up our children with what circumstances we have.

jellybeans · 21/04/2014 13:52

I agree!

poppetpuppet · 21/04/2014 13:54

Amen!!

Also, all other decisions!
Breast or bottle? Your choice!
Cot or co sleep? Your choice!
BLW or blender? Your choice!
Etc, etc, etc!

Wishfulmakeupping · 21/04/2014 13:54

Could not agree more I said exactly the same thing in a conversation last week OP so many judgy fuckers around it annoys the hell out of me. Get on with your own lives!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 21/04/2014 13:56

I can't even see why there is a debate at all. It's like debating which supermarket you go to. We all do what works best for us and our family and we're all different. Why make it a competition?

blanchedeveraux · 21/04/2014 14:20

My oldest is 17 now and I was utterly horrified when she was a baby at the bitchiness and vitriol from otherwise quite "normal" women over this subject reared its ugly head. It's a debate that'll never go away and so long as women keep participating in it, we just play into a horrible Daily Fail stereotype of harpies who want one over on each other.

morethanpotatoprints · 21/04/2014 14:33

Completely true OP.
Our decision was sneered at I got some grief in rl for my decision, about 10 years ago now. Long before I had heard of Mnet.
It was only one person, but when I came on here I had a nn straight away.
Do what's best for your family and fuck everybody else. because they will be doing what's best for theirs.
