to ask about posting biscuits??

I've been on Mumsnet a while now and still don't get what it means when people post a or say "here have a ". I've just seen when looking how to post one it says "no comment" so it that mostly what people mean by it as sometimes on threads people use one when the OP seems to be being an idiot or maybe a bit arsey.

I've taken it to mean. Have a biscuit and get over it.

It's the equivalent of a pantomime 'booo'

I read it as "fuck off and get a grip."
But I'm not very nice.

I read it as 'you look a right tit so have one'

That's what i think sometimes when i see it johnsnow it seems to be a 'get a grip' 'get over it ' 'don't be so bloody stupid' kind of comment but with a varying degree of harshness dependent on the thread.

I think it goes back to when the pm was asked by mumsnet his fav biscuit and he wouldn't/couldn't reply, so no comment type thing.

I read it as an alarm bell/button often given when people are out of order. I've no idea really though

Hang on just looked closer and it is indeed a biscuit not a button!

It means

"You really take the biscuit", or in other words, No Comment.

There is a thread about this every few weeks.
