To not give the poor man a lift?

Just driving home down the quiet lane to my village in the pouring rain and passed a really morose looking guy, walking the same way and carrying two heavy looking shopping bags. My good side thought I should stop and give him a lift. The bad side thought 'he's really fat, he needs the exercise. Plus he looks a bit like a chain saw killer in a bad mood'. So I drove on and feel guilty now, as I normally like to give people a lift. I do know I am a bad person really :/

I hope you feel suitably chastised.

WorraLiberty · 20/04/2014 19:33

Citron I don't often read things out to my family but I just had to read them your post and we're all cracking up laughing here Grin Grin

Thegoatprophecy · 20/04/2014 19:39

I already chastised myself at the time, I just wanted some extra flagellation :D

Haha, so wrong. I must add though that a friend of mine did refuse to offer a mutual friend further lifts in her smallish car because she was convinced he broke it by being too large :s

Very unkind thegoat, I wouldent give him a lift as there are risks associated with giving strangers lifts.

I have a large car, so fear of squashing would not be a valid excuse for my immoral behaviour.

Though having to move all the rubbish on the passenger side was another factor.

Ugh I don't want to get married thanks.

I'm a big fat person.

"I really don't like being judgy as I don't live a conventional life really. I am a skinny size 8, I think my fattist side is because I am a bit scared of getting fat."

It's not catching, you know. You didn't have to punish him for his appalling crime of going out in public whilst being fat! by leaving him to drag his shopping home in the rain - that was just nasty and judgemental.

And you will still be nasty and judgemental if you gain weight.

I would rather be fat and kind to my fellow men than thin and judgemental or someone who can happily use the word 'fatties'!

dolphinsandwhales · 20/04/2014 20:51

Yanbu. Look up Ted Bundy and you'll never help a stranger again!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 20/04/2014 20:53

Being catching is different to being hereditary though. Neither of which is true about fat. DH and I battle our weight but the DDs are perfectly proportioned.

citronVert Easter Grin - I usually wave at folk who aren't who I think they are - results in me having to pretend to be waving at someone behind them as the complete stranger walks past me Easter Blush

Thegoatprophecy · 20/04/2014 21:11

I've got to go outside alone in the cold and dark now, so he's probably waiting for me with his chain saw and his shopping. At least I'll be able to run faster..
