To knock on everyone's door to find out who stole my wind chime?

I cant believe this has happened. I get on really well with my neighbours, Im polite and friendly and my dog always likes to say hi on heir door step, which the neighbours love.

Yesterday I bought a really lovely wind chime from town and hung it out the front of my house. It sounded really lovely, very zen.

Although I couldnt hear it for that long as I had my music on ready to hit the town.

Anyway, I wake up this morning and notice its very quiet. I open the front door and wind chime has gone!

What do you think has happened to it?!

Could a neighbour have taken it?

Yes, YABU, some of your neighbours without small children may be having a quiet lie-in.

I'm afraid your error was to put it out the front, ie unsecured.
YANU to be teed off though, it's still your space.

Are you in an area with high footfall? It's a lot more lkely to be nicked by someone wandering past than a neighbour.
And If you really want a windchime out there you'd better either put it inthe back, find a higher hook or one on a lockable chain.

How's your bum? Can you sit down? Do you hear chimes when you fart?

I agree, you should get several and fix them so that they can't be pulled off get knocked down. You should put them in exactly the same place as the last one, except maybe a few inches further away from ndn's window where she can't reach them.

I think it's gone where the sun doesn't shine. Either there or in one of the little 'gifts' your dog has left on your neighbour's property. Either way, might need rinsing off a bit.

OP - get a wooden one that goes 'bonkety bonk' as well as the ones that go 'ting ting'. There seemed to be the thought that the former was nicer - it would be good to double-check that theory.

I couldnt today, they were shut.

But Im about to search the garden, theres no way a neighbour would have taken them.

They like me and my dog, and its wind chimes. Its zen!
