To ram my neighbours wind chime up her arse?

It's 2 ft from my bedroom window, it serves no purpose and I like to sleep with the window open.

It's all I can hear.

Sticking it up her arse may be tricky but cutting it down in the middle of the night?

I've got lovely wind chimes hanging near my back door.
proper tuned ones, they cost around 40 quid, at the moment they are chiming gently in the breeze, one set of neighbours like them, the other set who are further away probably can't hear them, and i don't really care if they can because it helps drown out the noise of him verbally abusing his wife every day!

Bluestocking · 20/04/2014 14:38

"Lovely windchimes"? Sorry, that phrase does not compute.

popcornpaws · 20/04/2014 14:42

Oh but they are, not at all tinkly and high pitched, and i do take them down at night if its windy!

WhoKnowsWhereTheChocolateGoes · 20/04/2014 14:45

The two words lovely and windchime are mutually exclusive IMO.

squoosh · 20/04/2014 14:50

I've just bought some wind chimes! Thanks OP.

neiljames77 · 20/04/2014 15:00

Re the revving engines. If they were revving all night 2ft from the op's window, then yes, it's unacceptable.
It's not something she could have taken to court really, so taking it down was her only option. Besides, she might have come up against a magistrate that likes windchimes.

neiljames77 She hasn't just taken them down, she has them in her house, she has no intention of giving them back.

She has stolen them. It. Whatever.

neiljames77 · 20/04/2014 17:00

differentnameforthis, what choice did she have?

differentnameforthis · 20/04/2014 17:01

Seriously? If something is pissing you off, steal it?

She didn't even try to resolve the issue, did she?

NeitherTheChimeNorThePlace · 20/04/2014 17:05

Looks like I've divided opinion. I may have stolen them for now but was thinking of posting them back to her piece by piece...

Or posting the £4.99 (price was still on them) so I've actually bought them from her.

Or putting them back during the day and taking them down at night.

Oh well I won't lose any sleep over it Wink

She tried to resolve the issue of the dog shit but got told to fuck off.
Doesn't sound like the neighbour is very receptive to diplomacy.

FaFoutis · 20/04/2014 17:18

Enjoy the peace OP (and the sense of power).

FaFoutis · 20/04/2014 17:21

On the subject of dog-shit doorstep and wind chimes not computing : my neighbour is an utter cunt and her house is full of shabby chic hearts and bunting. It seems wrong to me.

ThatBloodyWoman · 20/04/2014 18:40

If my windchimes go walkies I'm 'aving you all up for it.

Easter Angry Easter Wink

Has your neighbour said anything yet?

chiwoowa9 · 04/06/2018 08:59

It does my heart good to see how many people despise windchimes. I read once that "Windchimes are for people who are too stupid to know there is a breeze." Isn't there some way to sabotage my neighbors' windchimes without stealing the chimes or the neighbors figuring out that their chimes have gone dead?

Years ago they had a truly annoying set of chimes, the damned things tinkled if a butterfly flew past them. I told these neighbors my poor aged Mother couldn't sleep because of the constant cacophony. They moved the chimes. Now Mum is dead and there are three sets of chimes. If I could get rid of the two sets in their back yard, that would be a real blessing.

Who wants to be out in a peaceful garden, communing with the birds and bees and butterflies and fluffy white clouds and be subjected to clink clink clink clink clink ding ding ding ding whenever there's the slightest breeze? And-these neighbors are not home or rarely outside to even hear the stupid chimes clinking away. Windchime owners really are selfish ignoramuses.

Chiwoowa9 Did you just search for any thread that had the word wind chimes in because I fail to see how you found a 4 year old thread otherwise Hmm
