To ram my neighbours wind chime up her arse?

NeitherTheChimeNorThePlace · 19/04/2014 20:44

It's 2 ft from my bedroom window, it serves no purpose and I like to sleep with the window open.

It's all I can hear.

Sticking it up her arse may be tricky but cutting it down in the middle of the night?

Waltonswatcher1 - It depends where it gets shoved!!!!

Well I was awoken at 2am by some loud chatting outside as neighbour arrived home. A lengthy discussion about where the fuck her wind chime had gone. She and her friends decided it had blown away Confused

I love the idea of taking pics in various destinations and sending them to her :)

could you pop over to mine and take down the bloody things from my neighbours garden too. Drive me mad they do, took me weeks to spot who had them as al I could hear was them tinkling away at night. finally realised they were hung on a tree in a garden two across in the houses that back onto our garden. I don't know the people, can't get into their garden and all hope that they would blow down in the gales came to nothing... bastard fecking things should be banned, or at least kept indoors.

CuttedUpPear · 20/04/2014 08:17

Excellent work OP.
Could you pop over to mine please as my neighbour also has a large bamboo set that sound like an angry gorilla having a fit on a xylophone in the slightest breeze.

The neighbour also encourages her stupid barky dog to shit freely in the surrounding gardens. I have seen her watching the dog take a dump on the other neighbour's lawn and then saunter into her house.Angry

Love the idea of taking 'selfies' from Wendy the Wind Chimes holidays.

Now, do you think she'll go out and buy more wind chimes as a replacement?

Blast her with this.

Enjoy!

RedFocus · 20/04/2014 08:38

You haters really sound like you need some zen Wink
I like them personally but only hang wooden ones up outside. The metal ones I hang in my girls rooms as they are for decoration not sound.

HannerHet · 20/04/2014 09:06

What are you going to do with them now OP? Don't put them in your bin, she might go searching and find them

Koothrapanties · 20/04/2014 09:07

Well done op. I have an elderly, absolutely lovely neighbour who is deaf as a post. He has filled his balcony with windchimes of all sizes and varieties. I honestly think he doesn't have a clue how annoying they are as he can't hear them. Why he would buy them, I really don't know. I don't mind the wooden ones but the metal ones are enough to drive a saint mad.

Koothrapanties · 20/04/2014 09:09

Oh and I completely agree with the pp who said that they make it sound like a horror film. I cane out of hospital late at night with dd when she was tiny and the car was parked over at the far end of the dark car park. Backing onto it is a nursery with metal wind chimes. I was absolutely sure I was to be murdered.

MissUumellmahaye · 20/04/2014 09:41

For you people who like them, how is it not inconsiderate to install something that will make noise?

ThatBloodyWoman · 20/04/2014 09:56

Cereal I love Pan pipe music.

I also like to do my salutation to the sun in the garden naked.

Miss I installed my children.........windchimes are the least of my neighbours worries Wink

PMSL at wind chimes sending postcards from exotic locations!

Our neighbours have them, luckily not that close to our window. We got a sploshy water feature and now we here that and not the wind chimes.

CloverHeart · 20/04/2014 11:09

This thread is perfect! Grin

differentnameforthis · 20/04/2014 11:36

So you have just stolen her property & think that's ok?

Hmm
Nennypops · 20/04/2014 11:41

Well, yes, technically it is theft, though I think she could in part characterise this as taking reasonable action to abate a nuisance. Maybe OP should put the chimes back having glued them into immobility first, NDN won't notice as she can't hear them anyway

NoArmaniNoPunani · 20/04/2014 11:41

It is ok. Stealing windchimes is like stealing dog shit

OhNoYouExpedidnt · 20/04/2014 11:42

I was going to suggest putting an elastic band over them each night and then removing it in the morning!

differentnameforthis · 20/04/2014 11:46

It doesn't matter of they were annoying or not (and believe me, I sympathise) the op has no right to take them.

My neighbour restores old cars, and has revving engines in his drive at all times, doesn't give me the right to steal his cars.

Fullpleatherjacket · 20/04/2014 11:50

Nicking the pipes of Satan is exempt from normal theft laws I think. If it isn't it should be Wink

Excellent they're gone. If she asks, blame squirrels Grin

differentnameforthis · 20/04/2014 11:52

I'm amazed at how MN seems to think eating grapes around tesco is stealing, yet thinks this is OK!

It's not, they are no different to any other piece of property the NDN owns.

Fullpleatherjacket · 20/04/2014 12:02

Oh.

Tongue in cheek fail Grin

Yes. It's theft but as it's one of those scenarios where the OP has actually done what many dream of the MN jury may be in more lenient mood?

There is heavy mitigation after all.

SoleSource · 20/04/2014 12:02

I would have just paid someone to kill her instead

neiljames77 · 20/04/2014 12:10

Have your neighbours noticed it's gone yet? It's sounds like they put them outside your bedroom window on purpose to annoy you. She's already told you to fuck off before. You should brace yourself for a volley of industrial language off her. If she does, remind her that it's Easter Sunday and the good Lord doesn't want to hear that on his day.(having said that, he probably doesn't want to hear some poxy windchime either)
