I can cook just came on. Today's episode is called 'a special suprise' (sic)

Surely they should pick up a basic error like that?

Can't get worked up about it tbh

Lemongrab · 19/04/2014 17:23

Eh? Confused

BeyondIsBloodOfTheDragon · 19/04/2014 17:24

Crohn, my local hospital has a sign up pointing to the 'lift loby'...

MrsBungle · 19/04/2014 17:25

Probably just a typo

hiddenhome · 19/04/2014 17:25

I blame the dumbed down GCSEs.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 19/04/2014 17:25

Is it a pun? Sup like supper?

Lemongrab · 19/04/2014 17:27

Oh sorry, had a thick moment Grin now I see it!
Yes, they should have picked it up (like me) Blush

acjfluff · 19/04/2014 17:27

My issue is the lower case I in the title!

steff13 · 19/04/2014 17:27

Is it a pun? Sup like supper?

That was my first thought.

Wherediparkmybroom · 19/04/2014 17:35

Sounds about right turn it over scooby doo is probably on......hate cbeebies!

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 19/04/2014 17:36

I'm shocked they're still repeating the amateurish dross that is BCLC myself.

Wherediparkmybroom · 19/04/2014 17:44

Glad the small one doesn't like tv, another couple of years of justin and I would top myself! And don't get me started on show me bloody show me!

Ploppy16 · 19/04/2014 17:49

Try watching the BBC News ticker, it drives DH to distraction when he sees the same typos rolling across the screen every few minutes!

CrohnicallyChanging · 19/04/2014 19:51

I doubt it was a pun, the episode featured muffins and some sort of party, not a supper.

beyond how do you cope? I would have to fill in one of those feedback forms and mention it every time I visited till they got it sorted!

I don't tend to watch BBC news, so haven't seen the ticker. But I can't stand watching TV that has subtitles added, I know they are typing live, but some of the typos on there are horrendous and I'm surprised that deaf people can actually understand what's going on! When the programmes are pre recorded, wouldn't it make sense to also pre record the subtitles so that they can be proof read?

Or even run through a spell check- that would have picked up the error in my OP.

I was surprised at this too. I have never seen a TV programme get its own title wrong before....and it seems even worse on a children's show. At first I thought it was a pun, but sad me then checked info on Sky and the listings and it was meant to be 'surprise'.
