To ask if anyone else's summer wardrobe has mysteriously shrunk over the winter?

Some weird chemical reaction in my wardrobe has somehow caused all last year's summer clothes to have got smaller by at least one size Confused Moths? Damp?

I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this, and is also stuck wearing their winter clothes for the foreseeable future?

I did contemplate moths or damp, but I've heard it's these little elf-type things called 'calories' that sneak in at night and sew things up tighter!
Totally baffles me!

Dragonlette · 18/04/2014 18:22

My sister tells me that chocolate makes her clothes shrink. I personally blame the elves.

But yes, my summer clothes have mostly shrunk (as have my winter ones so I have to seriously lose some weight or buy ALL new clothes)

Are elf-calories related to the beer-and-crisp fairies, kinky? Sad

The wine and pudding elves have been at my clothes! Blush

kinkyfuckery · 18/04/2014 18:26

There's no beer in my house so I think that one might be a myth. The crisps may be connected though. Apparently all takeaway orders come with a side order of elves too, which sucks Sad

hoohah · 18/04/2014 18:34

All the nice things come with elves then, what a nightmare.

Dragon and Degust, I'm glad I'm not the only one, the worst thing is that I hadn't noticed at all Confused

It's the idea of a summer wardrobe that baffles me I have clothes worn in greater or fewer layers dependent on the season.

missmargot · 18/04/2014 18:40

The clothes I wore last summer fit fine, but I was in the second trimester. I haven't been brave enough to even get my non maternity summer clothes out of their storage bag.

Edendance · 18/04/2014 19:19

I noticed this Sad

Sirzy · 18/04/2014 19:24

Same here normally lone. Although as all my clothes have got too big my wardrobe at the moment does have a summer feel to it at the moment

HolidayCriminal · 18/04/2014 19:58

All clothes shrink a lot over time, I guess with washing. (Honest I am same size as ever, it really is my clothes that keep getting smaller). Sleeve length shrinks the most.
