Ds is 15 months old, yesterday the Easter sweet madness started, he was given chocolate and sweets by 3 different people, a lolly pop from a shop keeper, we went to wish 2 family members happy easter and he got cakes and squash.
This is likely to continue all weekend.
We do let him have sweet stuff on special occasions but yesterday it was just too much, he had a cake and icecream in the morning, 3 mini cakes in the afternoon and sugery squash. He was asking for water and his great grandma just kept offering him the squash she had made up for him, he just kept saying "water water" I just got up and found a glass to give him some water in the end.
I'd never say no he can't have a bit of cake or squash if that is what he has been given but we were also given huge amounts of sweets and chocolates to take home with us.
AIBU to eat the sweets/chocolate myself? It feels wrong that they bought them for ds and I'm eating them, I'd never spend his birthday or Christmas money, it sort of feels the same.
WHat do you do with your small children's Easter goodies?
