He obviously had a dog, they're mouldy and on squint curtain rails and he thoughtfully left them but he didn't think to leave the lightbulbs despite it being in the paperwork that he should

Given the other problems he could have left you with, leaving some curtains up means you got off lightly.

Are you my new neighbour ? They have just move in at 4pm and every window and door is fully open, they had a dog as well

yep think yourself lucky - we moved into a house when Dsis and i were small and they had taken all the light switches and ceiling roses.

Dad had to shut us all in the kitchen while he made the house safe.

He also tried to sell me the electric fire...which was included.

Oh dear, I hope not - please don't clype on me to him if you are! Where are you?!

The list of problems is long tbf - it's the mouldy curtains that got me though!

Ha I'm in Oxfordshire....I went out half an hour ago and the windows were still open so think it may of been needing a very good airing

It looked immaculate in the details, though they were years old

aaah, not me then! Commiserations to your new neighbour - my windows were wide open all day!
