Don't drive.
They swell and water lile hayfever.
Best be safe and get a cab.

Ah, I'm glad I read the actual post...

From the title I assumed that you believed permanent eyeliner conferred superior driving skill Grin

StarGazeyPond · 08/04/2014 12:53

Don't do it, let alone drive. You will regret it in a few years' time.

Fontofnowt · 08/04/2014 13:07

I had mine done around 10 years ago after my eyelashes fell out with chemo.
I had mid brown graduating darker (just like eyeliner not lashes) and was very happy with the results.
I've seen some bad though so research the person you are using.

Apologies if I'm missing something here but why can't you just apply eyeliner every day?
Surely its better for you, safer, can be scrubbed off if has gone wrong and won't go out of fashion re: styles and colour etc.
Plus the fact that it won't be horrifically painful.

In response to your question; if you do decide to go ahead, don't drive afterwards. I can't believe you even have to ask.

Unless you think "I've just had my eyes tattooed" is a good excuse for hitting and killing a pedestrian.

Swelling: Moderate. An ice bag should be applied for the first few hours. Ten (10) minutes on and ten (10) minutes off. Following the procedure, you may find the area slightly puffy for the first few mornings. Either thinly sliced cucumbers or an ice bad placed on the eyed on the second day for a few minutes in the morning along with sleeping somewhat propped up on your back will make a difference if you know that you have a tendency to swell.

Use only Artificial Tears product to moisten and cleanse eye area.

Avoid:
· Contact lenses the day of the procedure
· Driving (for 8 hours following procedure)
· Chlorine pools for one (1) week
· Soaps, facial cleansers on pigmented area for 2-3 days
· Eye makeup for 5 days until flaking is finished (included non-
allergenic)
· Jacuzzi, sauna for 2-3 days
· Retin A on pigmented area for 1 week
· Hot, long, steamy showers
· Eyelash curlers for 2-3 days
· Terry towels on pigmented area for 2-3 days
· Mascara for 5 days then begin with NEW mascara

Shower with your back to the water to avoid water, shampoo and conditioner from getting into the pigmented area.

IF EYES BECOME INFECTED, call your physician and obtain prescription for eye drops.

Do not rub eyes doing so may cause damage.

Do not be alarmed by fading after first application. The final color cannot be judged until 3 weeks after touch up applications are completed.

Aftercare instructions, are you sure you want this. It don't seem like you have done your research.

If you really do, do your homework and ensure that the tattooist is skilled to do this.

Is applying eyeliner such a drama?

Hoppinggreen · 08/04/2014 16:10
