Sorry if this isn't strictly AIBU but I need help/opions urgently. I have been a sahm more or less for ten years. (I have worked voluntarily & in the family business in that time). Jobs in my previous field are like hens teeth but one has just come up. My relevant experience is from 1995 - 2001 so am I mad to even consider going for this. I'm pretty sure most of the companies I worked for have changed hugely in the meantime - if they even still exist. I certainly couldn't find someone who'd remember me Blush. I want to put the experience on to show that I have done this sort of work in the past.....Oh and I have managed to fit my cv on one page so it's not like I'm rambling on it - I have tried to keep it to the point. Thanks in advance - it's been a long time since I've properly aplied for a job.

Yes - do it. If its relevant include it.
You also worked there for 6 years which is a substantial amount of time.

Don't include them as a reference though.

Yes, include it - it's relevant.

If you are struggling with finding work in your field, ask if you can do some voluntary work to get some relevant experience on your CV - employers often give you marks for initiative and who knows, someone might go on maternity leave, or just go - leaving a perfect opening for you to fill!

Good luck!! :)
