I did defend a bit as the person over there who upset the poster on here was not representative and was universally held to be a complete dickhead there too. Mind you the person who posted here was a proper snowflake (see how quick I'm learning?!) too cos she only joined here to slag off there which I thought was a bit strange.

I sent DH a link to a thread in classics once (OP, if you haven't been, classics is here - my favourite is the religious fridge) and now mumsnet eats his lunchtime.

To be fair, he's too wary to go to most places on the board and stays mainly on chat. However he loves mumsnet!

I know how you feel, I was a hun, and came over here to see what all the slagging off was about. Then realised that you could swear like a navvy, and everyone was much more honest and actually more supportive for it, and the topics are eye-wateringly funny (LDC I'm looking at you) so I never went back. I occasionally go back to have a wee peep but the fluffy sparkly tickers and the text speak make me shudder!

YANBU. I was linked to a pram vs. wheelchair bus fight on another forum, got stuck in and never went back.

BTW I saw the FWR thread and thought Yam referred to Wolverhampton, not Yamaha. D'oh!

If anyone finds a way out let me know...
