aibu to not to go kids party.

i am hoping this doesnt out me but i really not sure what to do.

my bf is having a birthday party for her 1 year old tomorrow. i am his god mother also my eldest absolutly adores him him. were all very close.

we also go away on hoilday on the monday for a week.

my probelm is.... one of her elder children is ill. high temp. white as a ghost, not eating. has been sleepy all day. will prob just lay and chill tomorrow.
how ever iv just found out another friend who os related to the mum has come down with sickness and has been sent home from work, today her two children will be going to the party. my worry with that is.. her two will have prob be carrying that sickness bug to.

would i bur to not go, or at least keep the children away and i pop over with present and quick chat?

or am i over thinking t his? i normally would have risked it, but i really dont want ill kids on hoilday.

i would just come down with an illness tomorrow, and say so sorry, will catch up when we are back. You do not want to risk it.

Normally I would say this is very bad manners and pretty selfish but as the birthday child is only one I don't think they will care much.

I think you should be honest though. I'm sure she will understand and if her elder child is getting ill she might welcome fewer guests.

I would just come down with an illness too... Wouldn't take a chance with holidays so close... Maybe very queasy tummy?

i know the little one wouldnt care, its mor my bf.. this is her last child and i think this party is quite a big thing for, emotionally i think.

ill phone her see how elder is doing and she how other frind is, th eother frind kid was ill this week to. i have another friend whos recovering from the noro virus . he not connect to any opf them so no reason for me to worry about that, its just there so many bug around at the mo.

my kids normally dont cathccatch things easly but i know itd be my luck that they get it and are bed bound the whole week.

i say phone her in a bit and take it from there. i hate to let them down and was actually really looking forward to it
